Kindergarten
The Kindergarten Room offers a fun, welcoming and stimulating learning environment in which the potential in your child is inspired and developed, promoting the children to become independent and confident learners. The children are supported in this, by an experienced and trained team in child development and learning.
We plan the areas of exploration through half termly topics in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
These half termly topics may include…
- People who help us
- Journeys
- Bodies and the senses
- Water
- Growing
- Houses and homes
During these topics to enhance and develop the children’s experiences, we try and use a variety of resources and artefacts as well as visits to, and people from, the local community.
We follow a daily routine that promotes children’s independence and autonomy by encouraging children to make their own choices. Our routine consists of a wide variety of activities to promote this, including…
- Outside play
- Imaginative play
- Messy play
- Painting, collaging and drawing
- Role play
