Hello, my name is Sam Paulton and I am the Nursery Manager of our wonderful, outstanding Nursery in Chilworth. I have worked with children and their families since I was 16, starting my career as a Kindergarten Teacher in a local private School.
Following this, I moved into a Nursery Setting as a Kindergarten Nursery Nurse. I then worked for Hampshire as a Family and Childcare Development Officer working with families on a range of activities and courses, including music and art sessions, family fun days, and even a 'build your own computer' course!
After 4 years I left to start a family and whilst raising my two daughters, I became a childminder. During this time, I also started up a free music group at my local School, which provided children and their families the opportunity to learn new songs and meet other families.
I joined Yellow Dot in 2013 as the Deputy Manager of the Otterbourne Nursery. The experience I have gained over the last 3 years helps me to lead, support and understand all of the different roles in the Nursery, and to provide the best possible experience for the children within our care.
Our OFSTED Inspector said "the highly stimulating and extremely well organised environment enables children to be independent and to initiate their own play and ideas. As a result children are highly motivated and eager to explore. Children make excellent progress highly effective leadership and management ensures the safe and smooth running of the Nursery. The quality of teaching across the Nursery is outstanding. Staff provide an exceptional range of high quality learning experiences for the children, both inside and outdoors."
