Yellow Dot Kindergarten is a bespoke educationally stimulating environment for children from 2yrs 9mths to school age. We open term time only following the school year. The Kindergarten offers a great place for children to explore, develop and be cared for. We pride ourselves on taking a real interest in each child and their family. We have a large area where children can access a range of activities and have direct access to our enclosed outside area. The children enjoy being part of a special group and we encourage everyone to work together.

At Yellow Dot the whole child is considered to be important. Social, emotional, intellectual and moral development are equally important and are interwoven in a broad and balanced curriculum.

Our activities are founded on the Early Years Foundation Stage which focuses on:

• Personal and social skills
• Communication language and literacy
• Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
• Knowledge and understanding of the world
• Physical development
• Creative development

At Yellow Dot children feel secure, valued and confident and develop a sense of achievement through learning.

We believe a close partnership with the child's home is vital to ensure that a child is able to fully enjoy and grow within our setting. Each child is treated as an individual and we work as a team to inspire their potential. Both morning and afternoon sessions have a balance between encouraging independence and self choice with some adult lead activities to support/teach skills.

Yellow Dot Kindergarten is a class for up to 24 children aged between 3 & 5. Children may attend on either a full time or part time basis. The Kindergarten follows the school calendar of term dates and holidays. Outside of term times the "Yellow Dot Club" provides childcare facilities for working parents.
