Yellow Dot is made up of a small group of 7, soon to be 10, Nurseries led by enthusiastic (and passionate) Nursery Managers. All our Nurseries have childcare specialists within their core staff. We run many courses at our hectic Training Room in Eastleigh as well as on site at each nursery.
We have a strong tradition of developing our people: Caroline Rudd our Support Manager, began working with us as a NVQ Trainee in our very first Day Nursery 12 years ago; Nursery Nurse Kate Mitchell joined us as a Team Member in 2000 has been on maternity leave twice and currently works part time in our Hocombe Road Nursery. Currently, 60% of our managers began their Yellow Dot careers as Team Members.
Our training programmes seem to work. We will continue to invest heavily in our team development. We don't sit on our backsides talking about staff 'training and development'. We actually get on and do it. Melanie Giles our Advisory Teacher takes the Lead on this and is making a difference. We currently have 10 people doing University courses: foundation degrees, degrees and EYPS.
Twice a year, we throw a massive party. Hog Roast in the Summer and Dinner Dance in the Winter. Some have passed into legend. Everyone at Yellow Dot is invited.
There are thousands of bright ideas that could help Yellow Dot be a better, kinder, easier place to work and we want to hear about them!

Manager

We are planning to open new nurseries in Hedge End and Andover. Deputy
Andover (opens June) & Hedge End (opens October)
The position of Deputy Manager involves: Creating a team approach where individuals feel valued, being responsible for the day to day management of the Nursery while the Manager is absent. Creating an environment where children are happy, secure and relaxed, where they can learn and grow in confidence. Working in close collaboration with the Manager.

Cook
Andover (opens June) & Hedge End (opens October)
You will be in charge of preparing healthy and nutritious meals for children up to the age of 4 years. You will be working alongside all members of staff and will be a key part of our team. The Basic Food Hygiene certificate will be required or willingness to undertake the training to achieve this. You will need to adhere to dietary requirements and be allergy aware.
