Hello! My name is Nicky Darby and I am very privileged to be the Manager of Yellow Dot Nursery in Andover. I am passionate about making a difference to each and every child and family that walks through our door and I am delighted to lead such a wonderful, dedicated team. Together, we strive to deliver high quality childcare and education, supporting our parents and carers to give their child the best start in life. We recognise that making the decision to place your child with a nursery can be a hard decision for a parent to make. Here at Yellow Dot we support our parents by listening to what is important to you and fostering an honest and open relationship with you from the outset. We hope that this sharing of information allows our parents to choose the right place for their child. I am privileged to be a part of our children’s lives. I have worked in childcare for over 15 years, starting as a Nursery Assistant working up through the various positions to become a Manager. The experience I gained through this journey has made me the Manager I am today. I have a diverse level of experience including working with children that have additional needs, assessing level 3 apprentices, and being a key person to some of the children. I am also a keen advocate of the great outdoors! Here in Andover we are so lucky to have the town centre and many outdoor spaces at our finger tips, with lots of learning opportunities for the children to enjoy. We are always out and about!
Our activities are founded on the Early Years Foundation Stage which focuses on:
We believe children and adults learn from each other and enrich each others lives. The Nursery is divided into four areas:

(Sessions 8:00am - 1:00pm / 1:00pm - 6:00pm)
Children may attend on either a full time or part time basis.
