Hello, my name is Catherine Clifton and I am the Manager of Yellow Dot Nursery in Andover.
I joined Yellow Dot in June 2016 as I believe very strongly in the values and quality of early years’ education that the nursery offers to young children and their families.
I have over 16 years’ experience in an early years management or supervisory role. I have worked in small teams as a practitioner and key person, and then leading larger teams outside of ratio but maintaining a presence within rooms. I have watched the early years’ sector expand and become respected professionally as I moved from part-time, then term time early years to leading and promoting good practice in full day-care nurseries.
I have a BA Hons degree and Early Years Professional Status. I have continued to train and use reflective practice throughout my career. I strongly believe that children’s early years are the most influential, vulnerable and important years in a child’s life. Each child deserves the best to enjoy these years and to be supported to become confident and happy, to build the skill sets and characteristics to become lifelong learners.
Our activities are founded on the Early Years Foundation Stage which focuses on:
We believe children and adults learn from each other and enrich each others lives. The Nursery is divided into four areas:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
Earlybird 7:45am by arrangement
(Sessions 8:00am - 1:00pm / 1:00pm - 6:00pm)
Children may attend on either a full time or part time basis.
The Nursery is open 51 weeks a year.
